*A Remembrancer's Report: The Aeternum Sector - 005.M31* The mark counts down. *\[mark: 000.02.59]* *\[000.02.58]* *\[000.02.57]* *\[000.02.56]* This is Remembrancer Patrick Stella. As *Fulgrim's Stilletto* descends upon the surface of Bellatoris I will try to recount the past hour. From my position in one of the spires of Finitum I have been both fortunate yet awestruck in being able to witness the carnage that the Imperium can bring to the battlefield. But most disturbingly, against itself. As it became clear to the forces arrayed across the stage, less than an hour reminded before the first carcasses from the void war above would touch down upon the surface of the planet. Anyone caught in the open would need the Emperor and perhaps a few of the god's once worshipped by the zealots of the past if they expected to survive. *\[000.02.35]* Some leaders at the Muster tried to take off captured Thunderhawks, Stormbirds, or any other void worthy craft in a hopes to make it off the planet. Few if any made it. At the same time, the drop pods and other escape vehicles of the destroyed ships above tried to make a descent to the planet. Ironic that one way or the other, nowhere was or is now safe. ![[thunderhawk escape.webp]] For those alive after the opening shots of rebellion, all that could be done was to find a place to hide. A place to hunker down and weather what was coming. But locations are few and enemies were plentiful. A surprisingly large force of Solar Auxilia take on a combined force of Ultramarines and Night Lords. Fighting is brutal but the Astartes do not appear to have the fire power to eliminate the Auxilia. At the same time, the Auxilia lack the ability to quickly capture additional ground. While some of his retinue do fall, he shatters the Night Lord with his hammer.* 2. *Elsewhere, Dark Angels fight Dark Angels while one side is supported with Imperial Militia of the [[Geno 3-7 Chiliad]]. The Geno 3-7 Tanks are then countered as a Iron Warrior Predator Tank with Recon Squad and Mortar support turn on the tides in the [[The Black Storm]]'s favor. It is all they can do as they seek revenge for their fallen commander. 3. *Finally, the mechanical forces of [[Magos Deozz]] find themselves fighting alongside a force of White Scars. Ending the conflict with the White Scars and [[Taghmata Pariah]] as the losers. > *\[000.01.07]* Simply put, it is brutal down there. While every leader hopes to find refuge, they cannot do so without the harassment from or outright destruction of their opponents. I wonder if whatever side began this betrayal experiences something akin to second thoughts. Based on what I've witnessed, the two sides are in a stalemate.
